This week the 5th graders will begin taking the End of Year (EOY) PARCC. Similar to how we organized the PBA in March/April, the building will be in test security mode from 9:30 AM until about 11:00 AM. No students or un-authorized personnel will be permitted in the testing areas. We appreciate you cooperation with this until the 3rd graders complete their PARCC on May 15.
Last week we ended on a positive note! The PBIS team created another successful Bear Bucks Store and Challenge. This month's challenge was "Buddy in a Bucket." Students had to throw a ball in bucket (but they didn't know which one had the Buddy inside). Student who won will be able to spend 45 minutes with their Buddy. In addition, our monthly data showed a downward trend for both major and minor discipline referrals!
Our students and staff did an amazing job with the Earth Day activities. Our students in grades 2 - 5 saw Monkey Kingdom while our K-1 students made paper, read the Lorax, and planted seeds. Once again, kudos to our students and staff for going above and beyond for Earth Day!

The students continue to display their focus after coming back from the Spring Break. They were able to hit the ground running and show the teachers how hard they are willing to work! We had a great turnout for the Family Fun Night on Wednesday. Parents, teachers and students participated in Zumba, fitness apps, and enjoyed healthy food in the cafeteria.
This week the students will be enjoying a plethora of activities. Our 5th graders will be participating in the annual Multicultural Week. Students in grades 2 - 5 will be seeing Monkey Movie. The 4th graders will be visiting Millville Senior High School to see the play Mary Poppins. On Friday, we will have our Spring Photos for classrooms and in the afternoon we will have our monthly PBIS Bear Bucks Store.
Club 21 is going BIG!
4th and 5th graders at RM Bacon Elementary School in Millville, NJ are starting the rehearsal process for their first production- The Lion King KIDS.
As part of this production and The Lion King Experience, students will be able to design and create their own sets, costumes, and more. We are trying to raise $1500.00 (in addition to our own fundraising efforts) for the children to have all of the materials needed to transform our elementary school gymnasium into an African savannah.
