R.M. Bacon Reopening Plan

Dear Bacon Families,

Hybrid learning begins on October 13, 2020.  By now, you should have received information about any change to your child's teacher.  If you have not, please contact your child's current teacher or contact the office at 327-6100.

This link (Reopening Plan) will allow you to view a copy of R.M. Bacon Elementary School's Reopening Plan.  It addresses how the school will handle the return to in-person instruction, the protocols we have in place for day-to-day operations, and other topics pertaining to the school.  In particular, please take note of the arrival and dismissal procedures.  Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about anything covered or not covered in this plan.

We are looking forward to having children in the building once again!

Sincerely,

Mike Coyle, Principal

March 16 - 20, 2020

Bears,

The first day of spring is nearly here - Friday, to be exact.  So since we didn't really have a winter, does that mean we skip spring and go right to summer?  All bets are off at this point.  "They" said it be a snowy winter, and there went that... Whatever the weather, we hope you enjoy your weekend!

Here are copies of the letters that went home on 3/13 regarding the COVID-19 situation.

Remember our fundraisers!

Keep an eye on the upcoming dates.  And stay tuned for the latest info regarding Millville's response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Everyone have a great week.

January 27 - January 31, 2020

Bears,

The last full week of January is nearly upon us.  Doesn't it seem like we just came back from the Winter Break?  Time, as they say, flies.  But where does it fly?  And why?  And how?  These are questions for another blog post.

Parents - some important information will be coming out soon regarding arrival and dismissal procedures.  In all, there won't be many changes (only a few things will be different), but we will be revisiting student arrival times, car drop off and pick up, and other similar topics.  Look for a letter, Facebook update, and call home soon.

Remember - our pictures go straight to our Facebook page now.

**Also, our PBIS assembly has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 4th (still pm).**

January 13 - 17, 2020

Bears,

The first full school week of 2020 is in the books!  We have officially returned to the school routine!  Our teachers wasted no time getting back into the swing of instruction and delivering awesome lessons to our great Bears.

For the first half of this year, we have been deliberately focusing on being positive.  From how we see our work to how we interact with each other and everything in between, we've placed a heavy emphasis on deliberately staying positive.  The benefits of being positive have been confirmed in multiple studies:  happier and healthier lives, more productive and fulfilling work, and better work and home environments to name just a few.

And the best thing about being positive is that fact that anyone can do it.  It's a choice we all have the privilege to make.  It's not always easy, but it is always possible.  Nobody can give the excuse of, "Well, that's just not the way I am," because through practice and repetition, it gets easier to be positive.  So, yes...You - even you - can choose to be and stay positive!

Have a positive week.  Don't forget to check the calendar below.
