It is hard to believe that this is the last school week in 2015! We have accomplished so much in this calendar year, but we still have plenty of time in the school year! As we enter the Holiday Season, be sure to take time to give thanks.
We have something special planned for each day of this shortened week. Show your school spirit this week and participate in the following:
Monday - Wear Red/Green
Tuesday - Wear your favorite (or ugliest) Christmas Sweater
Wednesday - Wear your favorite Pajamas
In addition, on Wednesday we will be having our annual Sing-A-Long and Movie in the gym. This year we will be adding a new tradition of Go Noodle to support our Healthy School initiative.

We have another awesome week in store for RM Bacon. This week starts the Hour of Code. Various classes throughout RM Bacon will join millions of kids throughout the world as they learn the art of coding. Nowadays it is important for kids to producers of information instead of just consumers. When kids code (using sites such as Code.org they unleash their creativity, use problem solving skills, and have fun!
A few of us decided not to shave in November to increase awareness of cancer and cancer research. Last year, Mr. Lokey was the winner..... Who will win the No Shave November this year? Here is your chance to vote!

Did you know some foods and drinks can be bad for your teeth? Don’t eat sugary foods (like candy) or other foods that can stick to your teeth (like potato chips or pretzels) in between meals.Instead, try eating an apple, banana, or carrot. Drink milk or water instead of soda. Brushing your teeth after eating a snack is a great way to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
The cafeteria staff is looking to introduce new foods for the kids in the new year. Ms. Candy selected a representative from each grade level to be the first taste testers. Here are some pictures from the event.
