Bears,
We hope everyone had a great week - the final full week before spring break! We've got four days between us and some well-deserved rest and relaxation, so let's make the best of them and go into the break on top!
Weekly Recap
Last weekend, a few of our Bears participated in the Club 21 robotics competition at Holly Heights (see pics below). The students did a nice job and represented themselves and the school well, and one of our Bears finished 2nd overall in the competition! Nice work!
On Monday and Tuesday, our school completed the Language Arts sections of the NJSLA (formerly PARCC test). Over the course of both days, we only had one student absent - great work, Bears! We'd like to thank Amy Scull, Debbie Stowman, Kim Berry, Pat Wulk, and Dave Grippo for all their help throughout this process. Overall, things went smoothly at Bacon, and we're sure next week's math portion will be equally smooth.
On Friday, we had one of our annual time-honored Bacon traditions - the students vs staff floor hockey game. The student champions from this year's floor hockey season - the Penguins - faced off against a hungry and out-for-redemption staff (who lost last year's game). The final was 12-3 in favor of the staff. Sorry, students. Not this year! Check out the pics below.
