We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School

Last week, our students and staff sent over 250 handwritten thank-you cards to Texas Roadhouse in honor of Veterans Day. A huge thank you to Mrs. Smith for coordinating this meaningful project and to everyone who participated. The cards are now proudly displayed at the Texas Roadhouse, what a wonderful way to show our gratitude to those who have served!

Our Fall Fundraiser is still going strong! You can support RM Bacon by shopping our Fun Pasta Fundraiser through November 26th. It’s a fun way to give back and pick up some creative, themed pasta for the holidays.

This week, we’re also spreading kindness with our Thankful Grams, giving students and staff a chance to share messages of appreciation and gratitude throughout the school.

To wrap up the week, we’ll continue two beloved RM Bacon traditions: our Annual Turkey Feast and Turkey Trot! These student-only events have been part of Bacon’s history for decades, and we’re excited to keep the tradition alive.

Ghost Contest Winners

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School!

We had a short but exciting week at RM Bacon! Congratulations to all of our Ghost Character Book Contest winners! The overall winner was Jamiyra Fiester, who earned a $10 prize to spend at the Book Fair. Coming in second place was Peter Gonzalez, and tied for third were Emma Hack and Skylar Williams. A big thank you to Mrs. Holliday for organizing this creative contest and to everyone who participated and voted, we loved seeing all of your spooky and imaginative entries!

Our Bear Buddies also met last week, as Ms. Anton’s kindergarteners paired up with Mrs. Smith’s third graders for their first buddy activity of the year. It was wonderful to see our older students modeling leadership and kindness for our youngest Bears!

Congratulations to Jamiyra who came in first place!

This week, we’re kicking off our PTO Fall Fundraiser with Fun Pasta Fundraising! Funds raised will help support exciting school events and activities.
