May 13 - 17, 2019

Bears,

First, we'd like to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and mommies out there!  We hope your day was full of love, maybe some relaxation, and even a little pampering.  Sorry about the rain.  We'll work on that for next year.

Weekly Recap

Last week, two of our own Bears, Ryan Dingle and Max Richter, participated in Youth Commission Week.  They represented themselves, their families, their school, and their city with pride and excellence.  Great job, gentlemen!

On Tuesday, we had our annual Community Night, and it was the best one yet!  Amanda DeVita organized a well-run event, and a whole host of Bacon Bears stepped up to make it happen.  Thank you to everyone who helped, attended, and supported in some way.  All this would be impossible without people like you, and we appreciate what you do for our school and our city.  The pictures were posted earlier this week on our Facebook page, but you can check them out by clicking here https://www.facebook.com/416660321730859/posts/2375664675830404?s=1421114150&v=i&sfns=mo

And speaking of appreciation...

Announcements

This week, we are having our Staff Appreciation Week.  In addition to the culinary offerings mentioned below, we are having a daily Chinese Auction drawing and other drawings for various gift cards.  It's going to be a fun week, and it's a small token of the gratitude we have for all our staff who work tirelessly for the benefit of all our Bacon Bears.  Everyone in the building, regardless of their role, makes a difference - teachers, aides, secretaries, PBIS, guidance, cafeteria workers, custodians, security, nurse - everyone!

Also this week, we'll be having our First Responder's Lunch on Friday, May 17th.  All law enforcement and emergency responders are welcome to come as we celebrate you and thank you for the jobs you do to keep us safe!

Be sure to check out "the week ahead" and the upcoming dates in order to stay on top of coming events.

May 6 - May 10, 2019

Bears,

And we're back.  After a well-earned spring break (during which this blogger even took a break from the blog - sorry if that messed anyone up!), we are back in business here at RM Bacon.

Weekly Recap

Our 5th grade classes attended the annual multi-cultural event on High St.  They were commended for their excellent behavior and participation.  Great job to Mrs. Muhlbaier and Mr. Drewnowski on preparing your classes for the event, and great job students on representing your teachers and school so well!

We had our monthly PBIS assembly where we celebrated our honor roll and principal's list students as well as our students-of-the-month.  As always, it was a fun time of recognition, celebration, and challenging games.

Prior to the break, the Millville Police Department came over for their annual game with our students.  We'd like to thank the members of the MPD for their dedication to our school and community.
