July 27 - 31

Bacon Bears,

Can you believe that we have been out of school for a month and have a little over a month until the next school year? We are truly at the half way point of the summer! Be sure to make the best of your summer!!!!

The summer custodial crew is making great progress on our building. They have completed the classrooms on the Office Level floor. On Wednesday, they will be cleaning, and waxing the hallway floor which is why we are closing the office for the remainder of the week. Beginning next week they will be working on the lower level.

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting the Phenom Factory located just a few blocks from RM Bacon. We are so proud of our Bacon Bears (Christine Baker, Alex Soto, Otley, Abby, Cameron) who opened the facility this summer. Please be sure to stop by and see all that they offer. I am looking forward to the Monday Yoga classes.

We are very excited about the new interactive white board in the Library!

We received some vacation pictures from some of the teachers. Keep them coming (would love to get Bacon Bear pictures as well - just email spike.cook@millvillenj.gov)

The maintenance crew has been busy preparing the school. They are focused on the Office Level floor this week. The paint crew are making their final touches to the hallways and classrooms.

Please make sure to email Dr. Cook any summer pictures to include in future blog posts.

June 22 - June 26

Bacon Bears,

Focusing on Today, Tomorrow, and the Future!

Since June 22 is our last day of school, the staff at RM Bacon would like to thank the students and parents for another wonderful year. We accomplished so much this year. Each student was able to improve as a result of their hard work and effort. The RM Bacon staff will miss the 5th graders, and we wish them luck as they move on to Lakeside Middle School.

The summer is a great time to spend with friends and family. Yet, we want students to continue to spend time learning which is why we created the Summer Learning Suggestions. You can access this page on the side of our blog or by clicking this link.

The RM Bacon Weekly will be updated over the summer. Be sure to check back here for the latest information on our school and for other important announcements.

Bacon Bears,

Focusing on Today, Tomorrow and the Future!

This is the last full week of school. With that said, we will continue to maintain a focused learning environment. Teachers still have a lot of information to review with the students. In addition, we have a few field trips.

This week will be very special for our 5th graders. On Monday, the 5th graders and their parents are invited to the annual luncheon. This event will take place in the Bacon Gym at 12:00 PM. On Tuesday, we will be having a Moving Up Ceremony for the 5th graders at 6:00 PM in the Bacon Gym. On Thursday, the 5th grade will be going on their last field trip as Bacon Bears.

Parents are invited to two special awards ceremonies this week. On Thursday, the K-2 Awards will take place at 10:00 AM. On Friday, students in grades 3-5 will be acknowledged in the Honor Roll Assembly at 10:00 AM. Be sure to join us!
