We Are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School) 

We have officially made it to the fall. We hope everyone had a good weekend. With all the rain and wind, it was an excellent time to hunker down and re-charge your batteries. This is also the last full week of September. Time is flying! 

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Literacy Night! We had over 200 families attend and enjoy themselves. Students and parents participated in the Escape Room, had yummy pizza and learned more about the ARC program. Thank you to Mrs. Gandy for organizing this event.

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School) 

This is our first blog of the year. For those of your who are new here, we put together this weekly blog to highlight some of the incredible things our kids and teachers are doing at the school. We share this through School Messenger and our Facebook Page. 

Our school year got off to an amazing start. We have had our first assembly where we reviewed our schoolwide expectations. We had a successful Back To School Night where parents were able to see their child's classroom and meet the teachers. We even had our first PTO fundraiser and we were able to raise $906.50 during the 6 day campaign. Thank you to the Bacon PTO for organizing this! 

Mark your calendars for this Wednesday as we host our firs Literacy Night at 6:00 PM. Remember Mrs. Gandy? She is now a district coach and will be hosting a fun event for our families to enjoy reading and do an Escape Room. Please let your homeroom teachers know if you can attend.

Room 1, from our first days of school, have been working hard. Students have shared their writing from writing lab, learned to partner read in reading lab, and played a math game to make number bonds fun.
