23-24 Recap

Reflecting on the 2023-2024 school year at RM Bacon Elementary, it's clear that it was a year filled with growth, engagement, and community spirit. The year kicked off with excitement around the theme "We are BEARS" (Be Excited About Reading in School), emphasizing the importance of fostering a love for reading among students.

Throughout the year, numerous events and activities showcased the heart of the school community. The Club 21 and Kindergarten field trips provided students with enriching experiences outside the classroom, fostering both learning and camaraderie. The focus on reading was highlighted through initiatives like the Read-A-Thon and Family Reading Night, which saw enthusiastic participation from both students and parents. Our Halloween Frolic was a huge success and one that will continue as we go into next year!

The school's commitment to creating a positive and stimulating environment was evident in the diverse range of activities and celebrations. From the Turkey Feast to the Kids Heart Challenge, these events not only enhanced student engagement but also promoted a sense of togetherness and well-being within the school community.

As the year drew to a close, the school's mission of "Then, Now, Always Family" resonated more than ever, reflecting the enduring commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. The 2023-2024 school year at RM Bacon Elementary was truly a testament to the power of community and the joy of learning.

We are BEARS - Be Excited About Reading in School

As we approach the final days of the 23-24 school year, we have an exciting lineup of events and activities planned to celebrate our achievements and wrap up the year on a high note. Here’s what’s happening this week:

Bear Bucks Turn-In for PBIS (Monday): Don't forget to bring in your Bear Bucks and redeem them for some great rewards! This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your positive behavior and hard work throughout the year. Be prepared, you might get wet :)

Awards Ceremony (Monday): We will be celebrating the outstanding achievements of our students. This ceremony is a wonderful way to honor the dedication and hard work of our students.

Final I & RS Meeting (Tuesday): Our last Intervention and Referral Services meeting will take place this week. We appreciate the collaborative efforts of our staff and families in supporting our students' success.

Early Dismissal: Please note that there will be early dismissal at 1:35 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Make sure to arrange your schedules accordingly.

Last Day of School: Friday marks the last day of the 23-24 school year. We want to thank everyone—students, parents, teachers, and staff—for making this year a memorable one.

As we head into summer, we wish everyone a fun, safe, and relaxing break. Enjoy your summer, and we look forward to seeing you all in the new school year!
