Bacon Weekly - 4/13 - 4/17, 2026

Bubbles for Autism

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable time with family and friends. Before the break, we had two great events, Bubbles for Autism Awareness and our Egg Roll. Be sure to check out the pictures below to see all the fun and smiles from those days!

This week, we are hitting the ground running with a full week of learning and exploration. Our students in grades 3–5 are preparing for the upcoming state assessments, and we are looking forward to seeing them show what they know.

One area we continue to focus on is attendance. Our chronic absenteeism rate has climbed to 26%, which is where we ended last school year. Our goal is to improve this number, and every day matters.

As a reminder, a student is considered chronically absent if they miss 18 or more days of school. This is a New Jersey Department of Education guideline, and unfortunately, doctor’s notes or other excuses do not change this designation.

We appreciate your continued support in ensuring students are here, on time, and ready to learn each day.

Let’s have a great week, Bacon!
