Bacon Weekly - September 21 - 25, 2026

Bacon CARES Team welcomes every student

Bacon Bears,

Bacon School is Out of This World! One School. One Mission. Infinite Possibilities.

We officially completed our first full week of the 2026–2027 school year, and what a great week it was!

Our students have been doing an impressive job learning what it means to be a Bacon Bear and demonstrating our schoolwide expectations. As we settle into our routines, it has been great to see our students working hard, making good choices, and taking pride in their school.

A huge thank you to the more than 200 families who joined us for Back to School Night! Having that many families in our building was a wonderful reminder of the strong partnership between home and school. Thank you as well to our staff for all of the work that went into making the evening welcoming and successful.

We have another exciting week ahead! We will recognize the winners of our September Attendance Challenge, celebrate students during our monthly PBIS/Character Education/Student of the Month Assemblies, and continue recognizing all of the positive things happening throughout Bacon.

And on Friday, September 25, we're adding a little extra fun as we celebrate 9 to 5 Day in honor of Dolly Parton! Get ready for some big hair, cowboy boots, rhinestones, reading, and, of course, a Cup of Ambition!

We have had a strong start, and I am excited to keep building on it. ~ Dr. Cook

Coming Up: Week of Respect — October 5–9
New Jersey’s Week of Respect will be celebrated October 5–9. Throughout the week, we will focus on respect, kindness, being an upstander, and bullying prevention. This fits perfectly with the work we are already doing through PBIS and Character Education.
We will also have a spirit theme each day:
  • Monday, Oct. 5 — Wear BLUE: Advocate for kindness and kick off the Week of Respect and Bullying Prevention Month.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6 — Favorite SPORTS Jersey: Team up against bullying and show respect for others.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 7 — Favorite SUPERHERO Shirt: Anyone can be an upstander—be someone’s hero!
  • Thursday, Oct. 8 — Wear BACON SCHOOL COLORS: Show unity and respect for our school community.
  • Friday, Oct. 9 — PD Day: Staff are encouraged to wear GOLD & BLUE as New Jersey Goes Gold & Blue in support of bullying prevention.
