We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)
Last week was a truly epic week at Bacon! We had our annual Turkey Feast for the staff and students. This tradition goes back 40 years and is designed for our Bacon Family to have a Thanksgiving feast together. We had many people visit this year such as our Mayor, Lisa Orndorf, Board of Education members Kim Carty, Mike Whilden and Mike Beatty. We had many people from the Culver Center and District Administration attend. They were all impressed with our Turkey Feast.
We are so grateful for our cafeteria staff who cooked all of the turkey and fixins. We could not do this event without their help. Also, a big thank you to our staff who donated deserts and helped serve the students. As we always say here at Bacon, we are a big family!
Weekly Schedule
Monday - E Day - Monday Motivation, 8:40 AM, Library; Fire Department Safety, All Day; Early Dismissal, 1:35 PM; Parent Conferences, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Tuesday - A Day - Early Dismissal, 1:35 PM; Parent Conferences , 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Wednesday - B Day - Early Dismissal, 1:35 PM
Thursday - No School - Thanksgiving Break
Friday - No School - Thanksgiving Break
The PTO is sponsoring the Winter Dance again this year! That's right, on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM we will be dancing in the gym! All Bacon students are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Adults and guests are 2 dollars. There will be Hot Chocolate, cookies and water for sale.
The book fair is coming back to Bacon! Our book fair will be held on December 5th, 7th, & 8th. We will also be open before/after the Winter Concert for families to shop.
