Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)
Thank you all for your continued support and flexibility as we head into the final stretch of the school year!
First, I want to extend a huge thank you to our staff, students, and families for your cooperation during last week’s NJSLA testing for grades 3–5. We’re proud of how hard our students worked and how smoothly everything ran, thanks to the teamwork and positive attitudes from everyone involved. A big shout out to the coordinators, Mrs. Gant and Ms. Sacco for their hard work!
We also want to acknowledge and thank you for your understanding during the shelter-in-place last week due to the tornado warning. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. As a reminder, when a safety protocol—such as a shelter-in-place or a lockdown—is in effect, we cannot release students or allow anyone to enter or exit the building until the situation is resolved. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these moments, even when they can feel uncertain or inconvenient.
We have a very exciting week ahead at RM Bacon!

Our 1st graders will be heading to the Cape May Zoo for their field trip—an experience full of discovery, fun, and learning!

On Wednesday, students will have the opportunity to spend their hard-earned Bear Bucks at our PBIS Bear Bucks Store. It’s always rewarding to see how their positive behavior pays off!

On Thursday, we’ll gather for our PBIS Assembly to celebrate the great choices our students have made throughout the month and highlight those who have gone above and beyond.

We’ll close out the week with two of our favorite traditions—Olympic Day and Fun Day! These events bring our school community together in celebration, teamwork, and school spirit.
