March 25 - 29, 2019

Bears,

Another great week is behind us, and another busy, fun week awaits us.

Last Monday, we hosted a Celebrate Reading Night at Bacon.  We'd like to thank all the families who joined us.  All who came had a great time, and it was for a great cause - reading, reading, reading!  An extra big thanks to all the staff who helped promote and run the event.

On Friday, our grades 3-5 teachers had their first Peer Labs professional development.  It was an impactful start to something that will help us improve what we do in terms of reflection and instruction.  Kudos to our participating staff - it seems you're off to a great start, and you are capitalizing on our biggest resource - yourselves.

Information recently went home regarding our Joe Corbi's fund raiser.  Here's the flyer.  All purchases are due by Friday, March 29th.

Our Wawa hoagie sale is still on.  See below, and feel free to call the school with any questions.

March character-trait-of-the-month: fairness.  Some examples of fairness include playing by the rules, taking turns and sharing, being open-minded and listening to others, and treating all people fairly.

Staff, remember your why!

There's no such thing as the perfect lesson, the perfect day in school or the perfect teacher.  For teachers and students alike, the goal is not perfection but persistence in the pursuit of understanding things.  - Carol Ann Tomlinson and Jay McTighe
