Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in Schools)
We all know the sayings about March but I think we have been getting them wrong all this time! March comes in like a BEAR and goes out like a BEAR! Our staff has been taking time to reset routines with the students. Teachers taking time to reiterate expectations in the classrooms and the hallways. Our philosophy at Bacon is that we must keep teaching and modeling the expectations we seek.
We had a very successful Read Across America week and a big shout out goes to Mrs. Holliday for organizing the activities and challenges. Our friends a Lakeside came over and did a performance of Moana for our K and 1! This week we will have students from the HS visiting to read with our students. These opportunities for collaboration throughout the district are amazing!
We have started an initiative at Bacon on everyone taking responsibility for the appearance of our school. On the daily announcements we are reminding students about taking care of trash and their classrooms. Our staff have been identifying areas to improve. We even have a crew working outside to ensure trash is not left on our school! We are so very excited about this!
Our PTO meeting will be tonight, 3/6/23 at 6 PM in the Bacon Library. Please come out and support the parents as they continue to look for ways to raise money and coordinate activities for our school.

- Monday – E Day – Joe Corbi orders are due; Motivational Monday, 8:40 AM; PTO Meeting, 6:00 PM
- Tuesday – A Day – High School Students visiting Bacon to read
- Wednesday – B Day - Workout Wednesday-
- Thursday – C Day – MERT Drill
- Friday – D Day – Wear Bacon Gear
