Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School)
Welcome back, Bacon Bears! We hope everyone enjoyed the extended four-day weekend, thanks to the NJEA conference. We’re excited to dive into another meaningful week as we continue our journey through November with a focus on gratitude.
Our students have been busy making a difference by showing appreciation to our Veterans. In honor of their service, Bacon students wrote over 200 heartfelt cards, which were proudly presented to Texas Roadhouse Manager, Monica Headley, by Mrs. Workman. This project has allowed our students to reflect on the importance of gratitude and to express it in a way that connects them with those who serve our country.
This week also marks an important step in understanding the well-being of our 3rd to 5th-grade students. They will be participating in the BIMAS (Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System), which helps us gain insight into how they’re feeling and offers a foundation to support their social and emotional growth. This assessment will enable our staff to better meet their needs and continue fostering a caring and supportive environment at Bacon.
As we move forward, let’s continue building our culture of gratitude and growth. Here’s to another wonderful week of learning, connecting, and supporting each other!
