Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School)

This past week, our school community experienced the ripple effects of a tragic fire that impacted many of our Bacon families. The event was heartbreaking and felt especially close to home for our students and staff. We are grateful to the district crisis team for stepping in so quickly to support our school. Their presence and guidance were invaluable during such a difficult time.

In the days ahead, our team will be working together to develop ways we can further support the students and families affected. Whether through donations, community resources, or simply being there to listen, we are committed to lifting up those who need us most.

Despite the challenges, our Bacon spirit was alive and well at last week’s Pizza Bingo event! Coordinated by Mrs. Lunemann, Mrs. Banker, and Mrs. Starcher, the night was a huge success with over 180 people in attendance. We shared lots of laughs, prizes, and delicious food—including pizza from our cafeteria and a special treat from Royal Spice, who generously donated a variety of Indian dishes for everyone to sample. It was a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from coming together as a community.

Looking ahead, we’ve got a few exciting things on the calendar:

Monday: Our annual Egg Roll—a fun Bacon tradition that brings smiles to all.
Tuesday: Monthly I&RS Meeting.
Wednesday: Take Your Child to Work Day—a meaningful day to inspire the next generation.
Friday, April 18 – Sunday, April 27: Spring Break!

Thank you for continuing to show kindness, care, and resilience as we move forward together. Bacon is strong because of each and every one of you.
