January 1/19 - 1/23, 2026

Perfect Attendance from MP 1

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School

Last week, we proudly celebrated the 80th day of school, and Bacon School was totally rad! Staff and students showed their school pride by rocking their best 80s-inspired outfits, bringing great energy, fun, and spirit into our classrooms and hallways. It was wonderful to see our Bacon Bears celebrating learning together in such a creative way.

We’re already looking ahead to our next milestone! If there are no snow days, we will celebrate the 90th day of school on January 29. Start getting ready now... break out your flannels and music t-shirts and join us for another day of school-wide fun and spirit!

Candy Land Champions

This week, we also announced our Candy Land winners and congratulations to our 1st grade and 4th grade classes for winning the Candy Land game! Both grade levels worked extremely hard to earn extra points during lunch by using great manners and helping to keep our cafeteria clean. As a reward, both grades will get to vote on a lunch of their choice, well done!

A special shout-out goes to Irene Smalley (1st grade) and Josiah Smalley (4th grade) for being our final Candy Land rollers of the year. Thank you for helping us finish strong!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 1/19/26

This week, our students will engage in age-appropriate lessons and discussions honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his powerful legacy of service, equality, and justice. Classrooms will focus on themes such as kindness, courage, fairness, and standing up for what is right, values that continue to guide us as a school community.

College and University Day - Friday, 1/23

This Friday, we are excited to celebrate College and University Day! Students and staff are encouraged to wear college or university gear to show pride in future goals and lifelong learning. This day helps spark conversations about dreams, careers, and the many pathways available to our Bacon Bears.
