Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in Schools
We had an amazing week back from Spring Break and truly hit the ground running, getting right back into the strong learning culture that defines Bacon School.
Our students are fully engaged in both Math and Language Arts, utilizing i-Ready to strengthen their skills while allowing us to closely monitor progress. Our special area teachers continue to inspire creativity and curiosity across Library, Art, Music, Physical Education, Social Studies, and Science.
A big thank you to our cafeteria staff for ensuring our students are well fed and cared for each day, and to our maintenance team for their ongoing efforts to keep our building clean and ready for learning.
Our 4th graders had the opportunity to attend a portion of the high school’s production of Seussical the Musical. Their behavior was outstanding, and they represented Bacon with pride as true role models.
Looking ahead, we are excited to host the Leadership Learning Series at Bacon on Tuesday, where administrators from across the district will visit classrooms and engage in learning to strengthen their leadership practices.
We will wrap up the week with our monthly Student of the Month and PBIS Assembly on Friday. Additionally, our PTO meeting on Friday at 5:00 PM will focus on planning for the upcoming Annual School Plan for the 2025–2026 school year.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our Bacon Bears! ~ Dr. Cook

We are proud to share that 16 Kindergarteners, 16 First Graders, 18 Second Graders, 18 Third Graders, 16 Fourth Graders and 13 Fifth Graders were selected to showcase their artwork at the Millville Renaissance Art Gallery!
This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their creativity with the community and be recognized for their artistic talents.
A special thank you to Ms. Peck for coordinating this event and for her dedication to developing our students’ artistic abilities. Her work continues to inspire our Bacon Bears and provide meaningful opportunities for them to shine beyond the classroom. (See pictures below)
Meet Our New Bacon Bear!
| Biggie! |
We are excited to introduce the newest member of our Bacon family, Biggie the hare!
Biggie has officially been approved by Dr. Cook in accordance with Board of Education policy regarding live animals in school and has made his home in Mrs. Gandy’s classroom. He wasted no time settling in, he even tried his hand at working on Dr. Cook’s laptop!
More importantly, the students in Mrs. Gandy’s class have warmly welcomed Biggie into their already amazing learning environment. We are excited for the joy and learning experiences he will bring to our Bacon Bears.
Welcome to Bacon, Biggie!
