Bacon teachers saying "sock it" to bullying

Bacon Bears,

Our Bacon Bears had a very respectful week. Each day we celebrated something to bring awareness to anti-bullying and kindness. We hope that everyone had an enjoyable 4 day weekend! This little break in the fall is always a good time to spend with family or enjoying the weather before it gets much colder!

Our Character Ed team at Bacon has been busy working on our School of Character Application. The team is developing our yearly theme as well as the mission and vision of our school! As we go through the process, it is very clear that that we have so many awesome programs and activities that promote Character at Bacon!

Classroom Spotlight - Mrs. Gandy's 1st Grade Classroom

This week we visited Mrs. Gandy's 1st Grade class. This class has been working very hard on the new reading program as well as their Rock, Paper, Scissors skills. Yes, you read that right! Each day, the students challenge Dr. Cook with Rock, Paper, Scissors. The only rule is that they have to have completed all of their work on time.
