Bacon Weekly - January 16 - 20, 2023

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS (Be Exited About Reading in Schools)

We hope that you had a great three day weekend. Our additional day off was to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who had such a profound impact on our society. In our classes we will take some time to review the contributions of Dr. King. Our students are always searching for their dream and how they will impact our world.

This week, our students will be participating in the NJ Child Assault Prevention program (CAP). This program will help students resolve conflicts, understand bullying, and learn about how to be safe. We are able to offer this program due to a grant and by the dedicated work of the director, Sue Bacon.

Bacon Weekly - January 9 - 13, 2023

Bears hard at work

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in Schools)

This is our only full week of school in January! That's right because next week we will be off on Monday, January 16 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the week after, we do not have school on January 27 because of the Professional Development Day. So let's make this week count!

Our Bears have gotten back into the swing of things at school. Our RTI teachers will be doing the second round of Universal Screenings this week. This information allows us to determine what students need more assistance from our RTI teachers.

NJCAP Visits RM Bacon

We are excited to host the New Jersey Child Assault Prevention program for our staff and students. This past week, the teachers were trained by Sue Bacon from NJCAP regarding anti bullying, conflict resolution and how to report any potential child abuse.

There will be a Family presentation on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 6:00 PM in the Bacon Library. Parents and guardians will learn about the educational program that their children will be going through the week of January 17, 2023. Please be sure to attend this workshop!

Student of the Month - January CITIZENSHIP

We are excited to be bringing back our Student of the Month. Each month we will be selecting students who most exemplify the Character traits for our Character Education initiative.

RM Bacon Weekly - January 2 - 6, 2023

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)

In schools, we usually celebrate the new year in September. Our New Year's Eve is celebrated in June! The ushering in of a new year brings with it many possibilities, changes, and opportunities. There is an old saying that indicates how you spend your New Year's Eve is how you will spend your year. Were you able to see family? Play games? Maybe even fireworks. Hopefully, everyone was reading over the break!!!

We are excited about returning to Bacon School. This was a long break but we are ready to get back to school and back to our routines. We are not even halfway through the 180 school days. We have a long way to go and we wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else then our Bacon Bear Family!
