We are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School) 

Last week was packed with exciting events and activities! Our Bears Bucks Store gave students the chance to spend their hard-earned bucks, the Outlaws Fundraiser was a hit, and we held our School Improvement Meeting and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting. 

A special highlight was our Turkey Feast, which was a huge success with many visitors from the district joining us for this wonderful tradition. We want to that Ms. Candy and Cafeteria Staff for all of their hard work and preparation. In addition, the staff and district representatives worked together to make this one of the most organized and smooth Turkey Feasts.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Babbie Dental Pediatrics and Dr. Amanda Cole for their incredible generosity and ongoing support of our Bacon community. This year, they joined us for our Trunk or Treat event and made a significant contribution to our Turkey Feast by donating pies and assisting both staff and students during the event. Their kindness doesn’t stop there—they have also committed to making donations this holiday season to help those in our Bacon community who are less fortunate. Dr. Cole and her team exemplify the spirit of giving, and we are so grateful for their partnership and dedication to our school. Thank you, Babbie Dental Pediatrics, for making a difference!

As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Bacon Community. We are so fortunate to work alongside such dedicated staff, engaged families, and wonderful students. Your continued support, hard work, and kindness make Bacon School a place where everyone can thrive. Whether it's the collaborative spirit within our classrooms, the involvement in events like our Turkey Feast, or the everyday acts of kindness that fill our halls, we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. November is the month of Gratitude 

Bacon Bears, 

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School) 

Last week at Bacon, we continued spreading positivity and gratitude! Students wrapped up the BIMAS assessments, created heartfelt cards for our Month of Gratitude, and participated in PAWS Up activities and classroom events that celebrated kindness and community.

This week, we’re diving into some of our most cherished traditions!

🍂 Turkey Feast
On Thursday, we’ll hold our annual Turkey Feast with two seating's for students. This special event allows students to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal alongside their teachers and classmates, creating wonderful memories and building a sense of community.

🏃 Turkey Trot
Also on Thursday afternoon, students will get moving with our annual Turkey Trot! This fun event is a great way to promote fitness and camaraderie. Both the Turkey Feast and Turkey Trot are student-only activities.

🐻 PBIS Updates
As part of our PBIS program, we’re excited to host our Bear Bucks Store on Wednesday, where students can redeem their hard-earned Bear Bucks for fun rewards. On Friday, we’ll wrap up the week with our monthly PBIS assembly to celebrate student achievements and reinforce the positive behaviors that make Bacon a great place to learn and grow!

🍔 Dine to Donate at Outlaw’s Burger Barn
Join us Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Outlaw’s Burger Barn (1370 S. Main Rd, Vineland) to support our playground renovations! Mention "Dine to Donate for Bacon School," and a portion of the proceeds will go directly toward this exciting project. Phone orders are also honored at 856-691-5438—be sure to mention Bacon School when you call!

📆 PTO Meeting
Our PTO Meeting is this Thursday at 5:30 PM. We hope to see many of our families there as we discuss ongoing and upcoming initiatives to support our school.

Bacon Bears, 

We are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School) 

Welcome back, Bacon Bears! We hope everyone enjoyed the extended four-day weekend, thanks to the NJEA conference. We’re excited to dive into another meaningful week as we continue our journey through November with a focus on gratitude.

Our students have been busy making a difference by showing appreciation to our Veterans. In honor of their service, Bacon students wrote over 200 heartfelt cards, which were proudly presented to Texas Roadhouse Manager, Monica Headley, by Mrs. Workman. This project has allowed our students to reflect on the importance of gratitude and to express it in a way that connects them with those who serve our country.

This week also marks an important step in understanding the well-being of our 3rd to 5th-grade students. They will be participating in the BIMAS (Behavior Intervention Monitoring Assessment System), which helps us gain insight into how they’re feeling and offers a foundation to support their social and emotional growth. This assessment will enable our staff to better meet their needs and continue fostering a caring and supportive environment at Bacon.

As we move forward, let’s continue building our culture of gratitude and growth. Here’s to another wonderful week of learning, connecting, and supporting each other!
