Bacon Weekly - October 13 - 17, 2025

Week of Respect

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)

Celebrating Respect and Friendship
Last week, RM Bacon Elementary wrapped up a successful Week of Respect! Our students participated in classroom lessons, discussions, and activities centered on kindness, empathy, and treating others with respect.

The week concluded with Bear Buddy Day on Friday, where students from different grades came together to learn, create, and have fun as a team. It was heartwarming to see our older Bears helping the younger ones and everyone working together to make our school a kinder place.

Join Us for Our First PTO Meeting of the Year!

We are excited to kick off our first PTO Meeting of the year this Thursday at 5:30 PM! We encourage all parents and guardians to attend, your input and involvement make a huge difference. The PTO helps plan fun events, fundraisers, and school activities that directly benefit our students. We’re also looking for volunteers to fill executive committee positions, so if you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, this is the perfect time to jump in. Your voice matters, and we’d love to have you as part of the team!

Family Literacy Night

Bacon Bears,

Over 200 family members packed the house for Family Literacy Night last week. You solved our escape room challenges, enjoyed pizza, and learned how the ARC program supports reading growth at Bacon. Huge shout-out to our teachers and volunteers who made the night engaging and fun from start to finish.

Last week, our students also participated in Fire Prevention activities—thank you to our partners for helping us practice safety skills and learn lifesaving tips.

We’re already gearing up for the always-anticipated Halloween Frolic on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:00 PM. More details coming soon—costumes, fun, and community vibes await!

Be sure to check out the Weekly overview with the daily Week of Respect Activities and opportunities to show School Spirit!
