Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in Schools)
This week we transitioned from November into December! We ended the week on a very positive note with our Winter Family Dance coordinated by the PTO. The dance was such a big success that we are planning another one. We had over 280 people attend the dance and all of our Bacon Bears received a present of reading from the school. Each student received a book to help support our culture of reading at Bacon. Be sure to check out the movie that we made to commemorate the night.
This week our staff will have their monthly professional development for the ARC program. We are really excited with the progress that our students and staff are making with the ARC program and we are seeing that it is making a difference with the reading that are students are doing.

Cooking with Mrs. Candy
Alana Pagan was excited to be the first student to bring back Cooking with Ms. Candy by purchasing the session from collecting her Bear Bucks! She really got the hang of the pastry bag and of course lots of whipped cream! We are looking forward to having more students participate. We want to thank Mrs Candy for her positivity and leadership.
