Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School)
What an amazing week we had last week. Throughout the week, we celebrated Staff Appreciation Day with activities designed to show the Staff how much we care about them. They won gift cards, had a Barbeque, received goodies, thank you cards, and were treated to a cake. It was a success. Last week we also hosted our popular Pizza Bingo. We had over 190 people participate in Bingo and our Basket Auction. We raised over $1,100.00 for our school. A big thanks to the PTO for sponsoring.
On Friday, our 4th and 5th graders competed in the Annual Olympic Day at Wheaton Field. A big thank you goes to Mr. Sooy for organizing the events and selecting the students. Our coaches did a great job of motivating the students. All of our Bears competed with all of their heart. We WON the Tug Of War! We also had our annual Fun Day for K-3rd grade students. We had water slides, fun events and obstacle courses for the students. Our Fun Day coordinating team did such a great job of making this FUN!!!
