Bacon Bears,
We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)
This past Friday, RM Bacon had the privilege of hosting the Leadership Learning Series for our K-5 administrators. The focus of this series is to provide our administrators with opportunities to grow as leaders, learn more about the ARC program, and engage in valuable classroom visits.
I can personally attest to how valuable this series has been for me, and I always look forward to collaborating with my fellow administrators, district leaders, and Tamika from ARC. This ongoing learning experience not only strengthens our leadership skills but also deepens our understanding of the programs that drive success in our schools.
Since we were the host school, we proudly showcased some of our unique programs, including the BEAR Buddy Reading Program, Flashlight Friday, and our writing initiative. These programs highlight the amazing work our staff and students are doing every day to foster a love of learning.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Starcher and Mrs. Catlett for welcoming our guests into their classrooms. Additionally, Mrs. Catlett did an outstanding job presenting to the Leadership Team about the progress of the ARC program this year. It's inspiring to see our teachers stepping up to share their knowledge and successes with others!

School Violence Awareness Week
This week, we are also observing School Violence Awareness Week. Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of creating a safe and supportive school environment for all students. Teachers will be leading discussions and activities to promote conflict resolution, bullying prevention, and emotional well-being. We encourage students and staff to be proactive in maintaining a positive atmosphere where everyone feels respected and valued. Let's all do our part to make RM Bacon a safe place to learn and grow!
Mrs. Candy's Corner
Each week, our Cafeteria Manager, Candy Devich, will provide updates and opportunities in our Cafeteria. Mrs. Candy and her staff go above and beyond to create a unique experience in the Cafeteria for our students!
This week I wanted to focus on all of the fresh fruit and veggies we eat at Bacon. Our fruit trays are courtesy of our Fresh Fruit and Veggie grant. Along with our FFVP, we have also been receiving fresh local produce like delicious apples, Asian pears, spinach and so much more! ~ Mrs. Candy
