Bacon Weekly - 9/29 - 10/3, 2025

Kindergarten Reading Time

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS (Be Excited About Reading in School)

We had an incredible September at Bacon School! Our first full month was filled with energy, excitement, and learning as we focused on our character theme — Responsibility. Our students did a fantastic job stepping up, making positive choices, and showing what it means to be a true Bacon Bear. Check out the pictures below of our Students of the Month who were recognized at our PBIS Assembly!

A huge congratulations to Max Yunk, who scored a perfect 300 on the NJSLA Math assessment! Max was recognized at the Millville Board of Education meeting for this outstanding achievement and then celebrated at our PBIS Assembly, where he received a brand-new gaming chair and a gift certificate. What an amazing accomplishment — we’re so proud of you, Max!

Congratulations, Max!

As we turn the page to October, our new character theme is Respect — a perfect way to continue building a positive and caring community. We’ll spend the month celebrating students who show respect for themselves, others, and our school.

Family Literacy Night — Escape Room Adventure!

Join us Tuesday, September 30 from 6:00–7:30 PM for one of our favorite events of the year — Family Literacy Night! This year’s theme is an Escape Room Adventure — come enjoy food, fun, and problem-solving as you work together to “crack the code” and make it safely back to Earth. It’s a great way to spend time as a family and celebrate reading in an interactive way.

Restricted List Reminder

Our Restricted List goes into effect this month. This is an important tool to help maintain high expectations for academics, attendance, and behavior so students can fully enjoy special events and activities. Please take a moment to review the details here and talk with your child about staying on track.
