Bacon BearsWe are BEARS! (Be Excited About Reading in School)
We have an action-packed week planned as we not only transition into March, but it is also Read Across America! This is such an exciting time for our school because we place a high emphasis on reading. In addition, our BEARS Read A Thon has been raising money for the past few years to fund our Fun Day! Be sure to get those donations rolling.
1st Grade Authors' Celebration
Thank you to our 1st grade teachers who held their annual Authors' Celebration. All first grade students research their favorite animal and wrote a book about it. Then, we invited the parents to come and listen to the Authors' read their first book. So cool! Thank you to all the parents who showed and for the 1st grade teachers to plan such an amazing event!
PBIS
Last week we had our PBIS Assembly. This one was special, and a shout out goes to Ms. Berry for having every student participate in the activities. This is no easy task and one that should be commended!
Chronic Absenteeism
On February 26, 2025, I attended our monthly Admin Meeting with Dr. Mazzoni. We met at and toured the Child Family Center. The focus of our meeting was to work on refining our approach to Chronic Absenteeism in the district. We will be using this data and the focused questions at our March Staff Meeting.
