BEARS Read A Thon

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School

BEARS Read A Thon 2026 – An Under the Sea Success!

What an incredible week at RM Bacon Elementary School!

Our annual BEARS Read A Thon was truly one of the highlights of the year. This year’s Under the Sea theme transformed our gymnasium into a vibrant, immersive literacy experience that brought excitement, joy, and a love of reading to life for every student.

From creative decorations to engaging reading stations and flexible seating options, students had the opportunity to relax, dive into great books, and experience reading in a whole new way. The gym became an interactive literacy adventure that students will not soon forget.

A tremendous thank you goes to our outstanding coordinators:

Mrs. Lunemann
Mrs. Starcher
Mrs. Banker

Your vision, creativity, and countless hours of planning made this event extraordinary. The organization, attention to detail, and enthusiasm you bring to this signature Bacon event continue to impress year after year.

We also want to recognize our incredible staff for their support. Many team members helped with set up and breakdown, volunteered their time, and donated flexible seating to create comfortable and inviting reading spaces for students. That collective effort is what makes Bacon such a special place.

We were also grateful for the support of our community guest readers who helped make the day even more meaningful for our students.
