3rd Grade Field Trip

Bacon Bears,

We are BEARS! Be Excited About Reading in School

Last week, we hosted our annual 3rd Grade Band Bonanza, where our rising 4th graders had the opportunity to explore the different instruments they may choose to pursue next year. Thank you to Mrs. Englehart for coordinating this wonderful event and for her continued efforts to grow our music program!

Our 5th graders were also visited by Ms. Andrews, 6th Grade Vice Principal, and Mrs. O'Shea, 6th Grade School Counselor, from Lakeside Middle School. The students learned more about Lakeside and had the opportunity to ask questions as they prepare for their transition to middle school.

On Thursday, our 3rd graders traveled to the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor for their end-of-year field trip. They had an amazing time exploring and learning about the local environment while representing Bacon School exceptionally well.

Looking ahead to this week:

Monday: We will dedicate Max Richter's Eagle Scout Project on our playground. We are incredibly proud of Max and grateful to the entire Richter family for their unwavering support of Bacon School. We are also celebrating Music Spirit Day! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite band, musician, or concert t-shirt.

Tuesday: End-of-Year Awards Ceremony (student-only event).

Thursday: 5th Grade End-of-Year Breakfast (student-only event).

Friday: Schools will be closed in observance of Juneteenth.

As we approach the final days of the school year, thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community. Let's finish the year strong!

Strawberry Shortcake Day

We would like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Candy for providing her annual Strawberry Shortcake Day treat to our students and staff on Friday. This has become a cherished Bacon tradition that everyone looks forward to each year!

We would also like to recognize Ms. Candy's 3rd grade helpers, who did an outstanding job assisting with the preparation and distribution of the strawberry shortcakes. Their hard work, responsibility, and positive attitudes helped make the event a tremendous success.
